Dwelling Place is an image of the tabernacle of God. As the Israelites wandered through the wilderness, the cloud of God’s presence rested upon the tabernacle, His dwelling place, where they offered up pleasing aromas as sacrifices. This foreshadowed the mystery of God that has now been revealed as He has made His home in us– His tabernacle (1 Corinthians 16:9), where the cloud of his glory can rest. Though we wander through this wilderness of life, God’s presence of the Holy Spirit never abandons the tabernacle of our body.
